For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

Systems with the potential to become a tropical cyclone during the
next 48 hours...

An elongated trough of low pressure located several hundred miles
south of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula is
moving little.  Associated shower activity has decreased
significantly this morning, and development of this system is
unlikely due to unfavorable environmental conditions.

Other systems with the potential to become a tropical cyclone beyond
48 hours...

An area of disturbed weather has formed several hundred miles
south-southwest of the Gulf of Tehuantepec. Environmental conditions
are expected to be conducive for some gradual development of this
system over the next several days while it moves slowly westward to
west-northwestward.
