The ITCZ continues from 03N90W to 04N110W to 03N136W. Scattered moderate convection is from 05N to 10N and between 130W and 136W. ...OFFSHORE WATERS WITHIN 250 NM OF MEXICO... Long-period NW to N swell with a period of 12 to 14 seconds covers offshore waters W of Baja California and south of 30N, producing seas of 6 to 8 ft. High pressure west of the region supports moderate to locally fresh NW winds over these waters. Gentle to moderate winds and seas persist elsewhere. For the forecast, long period northwest swell will continue to decay today with seas falling below 8 ft. A cold front will approach tonight then dissipate as it moves across Baja California Thu. This will support a pulse of fresh to strong W gap winds across portions of the northern Gulf of California. Large NW swell will move into the waters off Baja California Norte Thu, and reach as far south as Cabo San Lazaro Fri night before subsiding. ...OFFSHORE WATERS WITHIN 250 NM OF CENTRAL AMERICA, COLOMBIA, AND WITHIN 750 NM OF ECUADOR Light to gentle winds and moderate seas persist across the region. A cold front extends from 30N127W to 25N140W. Behind the front, moderate to fresh NW winds and seas of 8 to 9 ft area occurring. Elsewhere, long- period northwest to north swell with a period of 12-15 seconds continues to cover the waters from 00N to 25N and west of 110W. Seas of 8 to 11 ft are over these waters. High pressure remains the dominate weather feature over the area. Fresh to locally strong NE trade winds are noted from around 05N to 15N west of 125W. Gentle to moderate winds and moderate seas persist elsewhere. For the forecast, the cold front will pass areas N of 25N today, bringing moderate to fresh NW winds and rough seas. The front will reach the coast of Baja California very late tonight, then gradually dissipate.
