The ITCZ continues from 03N90W to 04N110W to 03N130W and from 02N133W to 02N140W. Scattered moderate convection is from 05N to 10N and between 128W and 133W. ...OFFSHORE WATERS WITHIN 250 NM OF MEXICO... Long-period NW to N swell with a period of 12 to 14 seconds covers offshore waters W of Baja California and south of 30N, producing seas of 8 to 9 ft. High pressure west of the region supports moderate to locally fresh NW winds over these waters, revealed in a recent scatterometer pass. Gentle to moderate winds and seas persist elsewhere. For the forecast, long- period northwest swell will continue to produce seas of up to 9 ft today offshore Baja California to the Revillagigedo Islands, but will gradually fall below 8 ft through early tomorrow morning. A cold front will approach Baja California Norte Wed night into Thu morning. This pattern will support fresh to strong westerly gap winds over the northern Gulf of California late Wed into Thu. A recent scatterometer pass noted fresh to locally strong NW winds, where seas are 8 ft, following the front. Elsewhere, long- period northwest to north swell with a period of 12-15 seconds continues to cover the waters from 00N to 25N and west of 110W. Seas of 8 to 13 ft are over these waters. High pressure remains the dominate weather feature over the area. Fresh to strong NE trade winds are noted from around 05N to 15N west of 120W. Gentle to moderate winds and moderate seas persist elsewhere. For the forecast, the cold front will pass areas N of 25N tonight into Wed, bringing fresh NW winds and rough seas. The front will reach the coast of Baja California by late Wed night or early Thu morning, delivering 8 to 11 ft combined seas across the waters north of 25N.
