The ITCZ continues from 03N90W to 03N105W to 02N125W and from 02N132W to 03N140W. Scattered moderate convection is from 01N to 08N and between 125W and 135W. ...OFFSHORE WATERS WITHIN 250 NM OF MEXICO... Long-period NW to N swell with a period of 12 to 14 seconds covers offshore waters W of Baja California, producing seas of 8 to 9 ft. Fresh NW winds are occurring along the Baja California coast north of Cabo San Lazaro. These winds are funneling between high pressure west of the region and the mountainous coast. Gentle to moderate winds and seas persist elsewhere. For the forecast, long- period northwest swell will continue to produce seas of up to 9 ft today offshore Baja California to the Revillagigedo Islands, but will gradually fall below 8 ft through Wed. A cold front will approach Baja California Norte Wed night into Thu morning then dissipate. This pattern will support fresh to strong westerly gap winds over the northern Gulf of California late Wed into Thu. For the forecast, a cold front will enter NW waters today and pass areas N of 25N tonight into Wed, bringing fresh NW winds and rough seas.
