These gap winds will remain at gale force through Sun morning, and peak at 40-45 kt tonight. Maximum seas will build up to 18 ft tonight and Sat. Scattered moderate isolated strong convection is noted from 03N to 09N between 80W and 88W, from 0N to 05N between 102W and 114W, and from 01N to 06N between 118W and 136W. Light to gentle winds are across the Baja California Sur offshore waters southward to Guerrero, Mexico adjacent waters. Strong high pressure building NW of the forecast waters tonight into late Sun will support the development of NW fresh to strong winds over the Baja California Norte offshore waters with seas in the 8 to 10 ft range in NW swell. Fresh NW winds and seas to 9 ft will continue to spread SE and reach Cabo San Lucas Sun night before gradually subsiding on Mon. Moderate to fresh NW winds off Baja California will prevail through Tue night. Gentle to moderate NW winds are forecast through Tue along the Gulf of California. Otherwise, gap winds across the Gulf of Tehuantepec will diminish Mon. OFFSHORE WATERS WITHIN 250 NM OF CENTRAL AMERICA, COLOMBIA, and WITHIN 750 NM OF ECUADOR... Fresh to near gale force NE to E winds will pulse across the Papagayo region tonight through late Mon with seas to 10 ft. Fresh to strong winds will briefly pulse in the Gulf of Panama Sat night and Sun night. Light to gentle winds will prevail elsewhere. Otherwise, large seas from Gulf of Tehuantepec gales this weekend will spread into the offshore waters of Guatemala and El Salvador through Sun. REMAINDER OF THE AREA... Surface high pressure anchored by a 1024 mb high near 30N122W is ahead of a stationary front that extends from 30N125W to 20N140W. Moderate to locally fresh NE winds are behind of the front with seas in the 8 to 12 ft range in NW swell. South of 16N, the gradient between the high and the ITCZ supports moderate to fresh trades W of 115W with seas to 8 ft. The front will transition to a cold front and will continue eastward before dissipating Sat. Strong high pressure will build N of the area this weekend and will support the development of fresh to strong NE winds between 17N to 28N W of 125W, continuing through early next week. $$ Ramos
