The following information is based on satellite imagery, weather observations, radar, and meteorological analysis. Based on 0600 UTC surface analysis and satellite imagery through 0830 UTC. ...TROPICAL WAVES... A tropical wave axis is along 93W/94W, north of 02N to southern Mexico, moving west at 15 kt. Isolated showers are near the wave axis. A tropical wave axis is along 106W, from 01N to 17N, moving west at 15 to 20 kt. Scattered moderate to strong convection is from 10N to 15N between 102W and 107W. A tropical wave axis is along 116/117W, from 02N to 18N, moving west at 15 to 20 kt. Scattered moderate to strong convection is from 08N to 14N between 115W and 121W. A tropical wave axis is along 133W, from 01N to 17N, moving west at 15 kt. Isolated showers are near the wave axis. ...INTERTROPICAL CONVERGENCE ZONE/MONSOON TROUGH... The monsoon trough axis extends from 08N78W in Panama to 11N86W near the border between Costa Rica and Nicaragua, to 09N94W to 12N106W to 11N117W to 08N119W to 08N128W to 10N135W to 10N140W. Scattered moderate isolated strong convection is noted from 07N to 16N between 98W and 122W. OFFSHORE WATERS WITHIN 250 NM OF MEXICO... A weakening pressure gradient between high pressure centered near 32N132W and an elongated trough that stretches from the southwestern U.S. into NW Mexico will support gentle to moderate northwest winds west of Baja California Norte, with 4-6 ft seas. Moderate to fresh southerly winds are expected in the northern Gulf of California through Wed. Fresh northerly winds will pulse across the Gulf of Tehuantepec region through Wed. OFFSHORE WATERS WITHIN 250 NM OF CENTRAL AMERICA, COLOMBIA, and WITHIN 750 NM OF ECUADOR... A monsoon trough axis stretches along 09N to 10N east of 90W. Weak tropical waves will migrate westward across Central America early in the week, and initiate more widespread shower activity in a few days.Moderate southerly winds will prevail south of the monsoon trough through Wed. REMAINDER OF THE AREA... A weak ridge extends over the waters north of 15N. The gradient between the ridge and the monsoon trough is supporting moderate trade winds north of the trough axis, west of 115W. A shrinking area of cross-equatorial southeast swell, producing 7 to 9 ft seas, is located south of 15N and west of 130W. This area of swell will gradually shift west of 140W by this evening. $$ Mundell
