No significant convection is noted. OFFSHORE WATERS WITHIN 250 NM OF MEXICO... A weak cold front moving into Baja California Norte will dissipate later today. High pressure extending eastward to near the Revillagigedo Islands will maintain moderate to fresh NW winds west of Baja California through Sun, except fresh to strong S of Punta Eugenia through Sat morning. Northerly winds will become fresh to strong tonight through Fri night in the southern half of the Gulf of California. Gentle W to NW winds will dominate the waters between Cabo Corrientes and Tehuantepec through Sun. OFFSHORE WATERS WITHIN 250 NM OF CENTRAL AMERICA, COLOMBIA, AND WITHIN 750 NM OF ECUADOR... High pressure north of the western Caribbean will maintain moderate to fresh NE to E winds in the Gulf of Papagayo region through Sun. Light to gentle winds are expected elsewhere across offshore waters, except for the Gulf of Panama, where moderate northerly winds will pulse each night through the weekend. Long period SW swell will continue in the Galapagos Islands region through tonight. REMAINDER OF THE AREA... A broad ridge extending east-southeast from 30N140W to near the Revillagigedo Islands will maintain an area of fresh to strong trade winds from roughly 06N to 22N west of 124W through Sun. Seas in this region will be between 8 and 13 ft, with the peak seas occurring Sun night and Mon. A deep-layer trough across the NW part of the discussion area continues to support a few showers from 05N to 09N west of 136W.
