No significant convection is noted. OFFSHORE WATERS WITHIN 250 NM OF MEXICO... High pressure extending eastward to near the Revillagigedo Islands will maintain moderate to fresh NW winds west of Baja California through Sun, except fresh to strong S of Punta Eugenia Thu through Sat morning. Moderate northerly winds in the southern half of the Gulf of California through Thu will become fresh to strong Thu night and prevail through Sat night. Elsewhere, light to gentle variable winds will dominate the waters between Cabo Corrientes and Tehuantepec through Sun. OFFSHORE WATERS WITHIN 250 NM OF CENTRAL AMERICA, COLOMBIA, AND WITHIN 750 NM OF ECUADOR... High pressure north of the western Caribbean will maintain moderate to fresh NE to E winds in the Gulf of Papagayo region through Sun. Light to gentle winds are expected elsewhere across offshore waters, except for the Gulf of Panama, where moderate northerly winds will pulse each night through the weekend. Long period SW swell will continue in the Galapagos Islands region through Thu night. REMAINDER OF THE AREA... A broad ridge extending east-southeast from 30N140W to near the Revillagigedo Islands will maintain an area of fresh to strong trade winds from roughly 06N to 23N west of 125W through Sun. Seas in this region will be between 8 and 12 ft with the peak seas occurring this weekend. A deep-layer trough west of 137W continues to support scattered showers from 05N to 09N W of 135W. Shower activity in this region is expected to prevail through Thu.
