The following information is based on satellite imagery, weather observations, radar, and meteorological analysis. Based on 0000 UTC surface analysis and satellite imagery through 0100 UTC. ...INTERTROPICAL CONVERGENCE ZONE/MONSOON TROUGH... A surface trough extends from 08N83W to 02N106W. The ITCZ extends from 02N106W to 02N125W to beyond 03N140W. Scattered moderate convection is noted from 01N to 06N between 91W and 100W. OFFSHORE WATERS WITHIN 250 NM OF MEXICO... Deep layer low pressure is centered just N of the Gulf of California this evening, drifting E. To the SE of this low, strong S winds are occurring in the northernmost Gulf of California. Also, a plume of moisture is producing numerous showers from Baja California Sur across the southern Gulf of California and into Sonora. At the surface, another low center of 1012 mb is located near 29N120W. Both lows will weaken Fri. South of the Gulf of California, tranquil conditions will generally prevail into the weekend over Mexican offshore waters. However, strong N winds are likely to pulse Sat and Sun nights in the Gulf of Tehuantepec. OFFSHORE WATERS WITHIN 250 NM OF CENTRAL AMERICA, COLOMBIA, AND WITHIN 750 NM OF ECUADOR... Fresh NE to E winds will continue across the Gulf of Papagayo region through at least Sun night, pulsing to strong at nights. Fresh winds are also likely in the Gulf of Panama during this time. Seas may approach 8 ft due to these winds. No large swell is anticipated during the next several days. REMAINDER OF THE AREA... A cold front associated with the aforementioned low pressure centered near 29N120W extends down to 25N117W to 20N121W. Moderate to fresh NW winds behind this front will decrease tonight into Fri as the cold front weakens and gradually dissipates.
