The following information is based on satellite imagery, weather observations, radar, and meteorological analysis. Based on 1800 UTC surface analysis and satellite imagery through 2030 UTC. ...INTERTROPICAL CONVERGENCE ZONE/MONSOON TROUGH... A surface trough extends from 08N83W to 02N103W. The ITCZ extends from 02N103W to 03N120W to beyond 03N140W. Scattered moderate convection is noted from 01N to 06N between 91W to 105W OFFSHORE WATERS WITHIN 250 NM OF MEXICO... Deep layer low pressure is centered near the NW portions off Baja California Norte this afternoon, drifting E. Ahead of this low, a plume of moisture is producing numerous showers and isolated thunderstorms from about 300 nm offshore Baja California Sur through the central part of the Gulf of California. At the surface, low centers of 1010 mb and 1012 mb are located near 33N115W and 29N121W, respectively. These lows and their attendant cold fronts will weaken through the end of the week. Elsewhere to the south in Mexican offshore waters, tranquil conditions are generally prevailing. Some locally strong N winds may pulse Sat and Sun nights in the Gulf of Tehuantepec. OFFSHORE WATERS WITHIN 250 NM OF CENTRAL AMERICA, COLOMBIA, AND WITHIN 750 NM OF ECUADOR... Fresh NE to E winds will continue across the Gulf of Papagayo region through at least Sun, pulsing to locally strong at nights. Similar conditions are possible in the Gulf of Panama. Seas may approach 8 ft at times due to these winds. No large swell is anticipated during the next several days. REMAINDER OF THE AREA... A cold front associated with the aforementioned low pressure centered near 29N121W extends down to 25N119W to 19N126W. Behind this front, moderate to fresh NW winds are occurring. As this front weakens and dissipates into Fri, winds will also diminish.
