Decaying N swell west of Baja California will diminish to 6-7 ft later today. An approaching cold front may lead to strong winds Sun night and Mon over northern parts of the Gulf of California. High pressure behind a cold front in the western Gulf of Mexico will induce strong northerly winds in the Gulf of Tehuantepec tonight. Model guidance indicates winds will peak around 25 kt Fri morning, then diminish Fri night, with resultant seas to 7-8 ft expected Fri afternoon. Gentle to moderate winds are expected elsewhere through the weekend. OFFSHORE WATERS WITHIN 250 NM OF CENTRAL AMERICA, COLOMBIA, AND WITHIN 750 NM OF ECUADOR... Seas are expected to remain below 8 ft through Sat. REMAINDER OF THE AREA... Seas north of 10N and west of 115W are 8 to 9 ft in combined wind waves generated by fresh trade winds and decaying N to NE swell.
