The following information is based on satellite imagery, weather observations, radar, and meteorological analysis. Based on 0000 UTC surface analysis and satellite imagery through 0200 UTC. ...INTERTROPICAL CONVERGENCE ZONE/MONSOON TROUGH... A trough axis extends from 05N77W to 03N80W to 06N88W to 06N98W. The ITCZ extends from 06N98W to 08N110W to 06N126W to beyond 05N140W. Scattered moderate isolated strong convection is located from 02N to 06N between 81W and 87W and from 04N to 18N W of 134W. Scattered moderate convection is located from 06N to 10N between 110W and 120W. OFFSHORE WATERS WITHIN 250 NM OF MEXICO... A weak cold front is stalling over the southern Gulf of California this evening, and should dissipate tonight. Strong NW winds to the north of the front in the Gulf will continue through Wed morning. NW swell generated by gales off the California coast will continue to impact Pacific waters offshore Baja California into Wed while gradually decaying. Seas of up to 11 feet this evening will slowly fall to below 8 feet by late Wed. A surge of fresh to locally strong N winds may impact waters offshore Cabo Corrientes Wed night through Thu night, and a surge of strong N gap winds is likely to impact the Gulf of Tehuantepec Thu night, otherwise light to gentle winds will prevail for offshore Mexico waters through the week. OFFSHORE WATERS WITHIN 250 NM OF CENTRAL AMERICA, COLOMBIA, AND WITHIN 750 NM OF ECUADOR... In general, a weak pressure pattern will prevail over the area through the week. Fresh to locally strong winds will pulse tonight and Wed night in the Papagayo and Gulf of Panama regions. REMAINDER OF THE AREA... A ridge axis extends from a 1036 mb high pressure centered near 38N135W SE to near 19N120W. Tight pressure gradient south of this ridge is supporting fresh to locally strong trade winds N of the ITCZ and W of 125W. Seas in this area are 8 to 10 ft.
