In the Gulf of Tehuantepec, northerly winds in the wake of a cold front moving across the eastern Gulf of Mexico, will support fresh to near gale force N winds through late Sat morning. Winds will diminish Sat afternoon as high pressure behind the front shifts east and return flow establishes across the SW Gulf of Mexico. Long period NW swell is starting to move across the Baja California Norte offshore waters and will continue to spread SE, reaching the Revillagigedo Islands Sun afternoon. Seas with this round of NW swell will reach to 11 ft before subsiding Sun night. A reinforcing round of NW swell will maintain seas to 11 ft across the Baja offshores through the middle of the week. Otherwise, a tighter pressure gradient is expected by Mon night, which will increase the winds in the central and southern Gulf of California to fresh to strong.
