Based on 0600 UTC surface analysis and satellite imagery through 0900 UTC. .TROPICAL WAVES... A tropical wave axis is along 87W north of 05N, moving westward at 10 to 15 knots. A tropical wave axis is along 104W, from from 04N to 14N, moving westward at 10 to 15 knots. ...INTERTROPICAL CONVERGENCE ZONE/MONSOON TROUGH... The monsoon trough extends from 07N78W to 09N87W to 08N93W to 09N101W to 08N114W. The ITCZ continues from 08N114W to 11N119W to 07N130W to beyond 10N140W. Isolated moderate convection is noted within 120-150 nm either side of this axis between 94W and 130W. OFFSHORE WATERS WITHIN 250 NM OF MEXICO... A weakening cold front across the southern Baja Peninsula will reach near Cabo San Lucas later today, then stall and dissipate. Seas west of Baja California will gradually subside this weekend as NW swell diminishes. Gulf of Tehuantepec: Fresh northerly gap winds will pulse to 20 to 25 knots Sun night. Gale force wind conditions are possible Mon and Mon night, with winds decreasing Tue and Wed. OFFSHORE WATERS WITHIN 250 NM OF CENTRAL AMERICA, COLOMBIA, AND WITHIN 750 NM OF ECUADOR... Fresh to occasionally strong NE to E winds will pulse across and downstream from the Gulf of Papagayo through Wed. Gentle to moderate S to SW monsoon flow will persist across the offshore waters of Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, and Ecuador during the next several days, along with moderate SW swell. REMAINDER OF THE AREA... A cold front moving into the far NW waters tonight will bring reinforcing large long period NW swell, expected to peak near 22 to 23 feet in the far NW waters by Sun afternoon.
