Recently downgraded Tropical Depression Gil centered near 14.9N 124.4W at 04/0900 UTC moving W at 10 kt. Estimated minimum central pressure is 1008 mb. Maximum sustained wind speed is 30 kt with gusts to 45 kt. Scattered moderate isolated strong convection was noted within 60 nm N quadrant, as well as from 14N to 17N between 119W and 122W. Gil will continue to weaken, becoming a remnant low Mon, and dissipating early Tue. Scattered moderate isolated strong convection was noted from 06N to 13N between 95W and 100W. ...INTERTROPICAL CONVERGENCE ZONE/MONSOON TROUGH... The monsoon trough extends from 09N79W to 08.5N84W to 10.5N96W to 11N126W to 09N140W. Scattered moderate isolated strong convection was noted from 03N to 07N E of 80W. Scattered moderate isolated strong convection was noted from 09N to 11N between 100W and 106W. Scattered moderate isolated strong convection was noted from 08N to 13N between 109W and 117W. Scattered moderate isolated strong convection was noted from 07N to 11N between 122W and 140W. OFFSHORE WATERS WITHIN 250 NM OF MEXICO... High pressure ridging will dominate the waters west of Baja California through early next week. Southerly swell will propagate in to the waters south of 20N next week. OFFSHORE WATERS WITHIN 250 NM OF CENTRAL AMERICA, COLOMBIA, AND WITHIN 750 NM OF ECUADOR... Moderate to locally fresh NE winds will prevail N of the monsoon trough, while gentle to moderate S to SW winds will prevail S of the trough, increasing to moderate to fresh Tue through Thu. Southerly swell will propagate into the waters between the coast of Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands today, and continue to spread northward through next week. REMAINDER OF THE AREA... Outside of TD Gil, moderate to fresh winds prevail N of the monsoon trough to 22N and W of 120W, with light to gentle winds prevailing elsewhere. Southerly swell is propagating across the waters S of 10N.
