Based on 0000 UTC surface analysis and satellite imagery through 0300 UTC. ...INTERTROPICAL CONVERGENCE ZONE/MONSOON TROUGH... The monsoon trough extends from 10N76W to 13N93W to 12N103W to 10N112W to 10N116W to 09N119W. The ITCZ extends from 09N119W to 08N125W to 08N140W. Scattered moderate isolated strong convection was noted within 120 nm south of the monsoon trough between 95W and 99W. Scattered moderate isolated strong convection was noted within 30 nm north and 120 nm south of the monsoon trough between 102W and 118W. Scattered moderate convection was noted within 120 nm south of the ITCZ between 126W and 132W. ...DISCUSSION... OFFSHORE WATERS WITHIN 250 NM OF MEXICO... A ridge west of the area will support gentle to moderate to fresh northwest breeze west of the Baja Peninsula through late Sun night. A moderate to fresh northwest breeze will prevail over the southern half of the Gulf of California through early Sat. Low pres is forecast to develop along the monsoon trough near 11N100W, moving west of the area on Sun night. OFFSHORE WATERS WITHIN 250 NM OF CENTRAL AMERICA, COLOMBIA, AND WITHIN 750 NM OF ECUADOR... The monsoon trough extends along 10N. Gentle to moderate SW winds prevail south of the monsoon trough, with gentle to moderate E winds north of the monsoon trough. Seas of 3 to 5 ft seas will prevail across the forecast waters. REMAINDER OF THE AREA... A surface ridge extends over the northern waters. Fresh trades, and 6 to 8 ft seas, prevail from 09N to 12N west 136W. Seas will subside below 8 ft by Friday, then redevelop again Sat through Mon night. N swell, with seas to 9 ft ft prevails north of 25N between 120W and 140W. These seas will subside to less than 8 ft by late Fri. Northerly swell will propagate into the northern waters Sunday.
