The following information is based on satellite imagery, weather observations, radar, and meteorological analysis. Based on 0000 UTC surface analysis and satellite imagery through 0300 UTC. ...INTERTROPICAL CONVERGENCE ZONE/MONSOON TROUGH... The ITCZ extends from 06N90W to 10N116W to 10N140W. Scattered moderate convection was noted from 08N to 10N between 130W and 138W. ...DISCUSSION... OFFSHORE WATERS WITHIN 250 NM OF MEXICO... Gulf of California: A stationary front extending from low pres near 31N112W across Baja California to near 25N116W will dissipate tonight. Strong winds are noted N of 30N and W of 114W in the gulf. These winds will diminish to 20 kt or less tonight. Winds will strengthen once again over the northern gulf Thursday. Gulf of Tehuantepec: Winds will pulse to fresh to strong each night over the Gulf of Tehuantepec through Thu morning. Subsiding NW swell prevails off the coast of Baja California Norte, with seas reaching near 12 ft. Seas will continue to subside, and fall below 8 ft by Tuesday. A fresh set of NW swell will propagate into the waters off the coast of Baja California Norte Thursday, with seas building to near 9 ft. Elsewhere, gentle to moderate winds and 3 to 5 ft seas will persist along the coast of Mexico outside of the Gulf of Tehuantepec through mid week. OFFSHORE WATERS WITHIN 250 NM OF CENTRAL AMERICA, COLOMBIA, AND WITHIN 750 NM OF ECUADOR... Fresh to strong NE winds will prevail across the Gulf of Papagayo through Fri. Fresh N winds will pulse over the Gulf of Panama tonight and Mon night. REMAINDER OF THE AREA... Northerly swell continues to subside over the area. Seas have diminished to near 12 ft over the northern waters. Moderate to fresh winds prevail elsewhere over the forecast waters north of the ITCZ to 20N and west of 125W. High pressure across the NE Pacific will dominate the regional waters for the next few days with little change wind speeds.
