Tropical Weather Discussion for the eastern Pacific Ocean from
the Equator to 32N, east of 140W. The following information is
based on satellite imagery, weather observations, radar, and
meteorological analysis.

Based on 1800 UTC surface analysis and satellite imagery through
2015 UTC.

...SPECIAL FEATURES...
Tropical Storm Norma is centered near 19.7N 110.2W at 16/2100 
UTC or about 70 nm NE of Socorro Island and about 190 nm S of 
Cabo San Lucas Mexico moving N at 3 kt. Estimated minimum central
pressure is 989 mb. Maximum sustained wind speed is 55 kt with 
gusts to 65 kt. Scattered moderate convection is from 16N to 24N

Tropical Storm Otis is centered near 15.9N 127.0W at 16/2100 UTC
or about 1055 nm WSW of the southern tip of Baja California 
moving W at 3 kt. Estimated minimum central pressure is 1004 mb.
Maximum sustained wind speed is 35 kt with gusts to 45 kt. 
Scattered moderate convection is from 13N to 18N between 122W

None.

...INTERTROPICAL CONVERGENCE ZONE/MONSOON TROUGH...
The monsoon trough extends from 11N86W to 09N95W to 10N99W then
resumes near 13N133W to 11N140W. Scattered moderate convection is
from 03N to 10N between 78W and 86W...from 06N to 12N between 86W
and 102W...and from 11N to 14N between 130W and 139W.

Gulf of California...Moderate to strong winds associated with 
Tropical Storm Norma are forecast across southern portions of the
Gulf starting Sunday night through Tuesday night. However... 
large southerly swells associated with the cyclone are already 
currently impacting the waters S of 28N.
  
OFFSHORE WATERS WITHIN 250 NM OF CENTRAL AMERICA, COLOMBIA, AND 
WITHIN 750 NM OF ECUADOR...
Moderate SSW winds will prevail S of the monsoon trough through 
Thursday. Light and gentle variable winds will continue N of the
monsoon trough through early Tuesday. The monsoon trough will 
then lift to the N with moderate to fresh SW winds prevailing. 

REMAINDER OF THE AREA...
Surface high pressure anchored by a 1026 mb high near 37N139W 
extends SE to the central Baja California offshore waters near
27N115W. Moderate to fresh anticyclonic flow is expected 
elsewhere N of the monsoon trough W of 115W through Wednesday.
