Tropical Weather Discussion for the eastern Pacific Ocean from
the Equator to 32N, east of 140W. The following information is
based on satellite imagery, weather observations, radar, and
meteorological analysis.

Based on 0600 UTC surface analysis and satellite imagery through
0900 UTC.

...TROPICAL WAVES...

The axis of a tropical wave is near 95N north of 05N. Scattered
moderate convection associated to this wave prevails south of
10N.

The axis of a second tropical wave is near 87W north of 05N. 
Scattered moderate convection associated to this wave prevails 
south of 10N.
 
...INTERTROPICAL CONVERGENCE ZONE/MONSOON TROUGH... 

The monsoon trough extends from 10N85W to 11N109W to 09N118W. 
The ITCZ continues from 09N118W to 09N124W to 07N131W to 07N140W.
Scattered moderate isolated strong convection is noted from 06N 
to 10N between 78W and 93W, and from 06N to 10N between 125W and
138W.

...DISCUSSION...   

OFFSHORE WATERS WITHIN 250 NM OF MEXICO...

The remnant low of Dora is centered near 21N116W, with a central
pressure of 1010 mb. Winds and seas associated to this feature
has fallen below advisory criteria. The low will dissipate by
Friday.

Gentle to moderate winds are noted over the waters west of Baja 
California, with light to gentle winds prevailing elsewhere. Seas
are in the 1-3 ft range over the Gulf of California, and the 4-6
ft range over the remainder of the forecast waters. The gentle to
moderate winds will prevail off the coast of the Baja California
peninsula through Saturday before diminishing to light to
gentle Sunday and Monday. Light to gentle winds will prevail over
the remainder of the forecast waters off southwest Mexico. Winds
over the Gulf of California will diminish Friday. 

OFFSHORE WATERS WITHIN 250 NM OF CENTRAL AMERICA, COLOMBIA, AND 
WITHIN 750 NM OF ECUADOR... 

Gentle to moderate SW to W winds are expected across most of the
region, except southerly winds between Ecuador and the Galapagos
Islands. Cross equatorial SW swell continues to propagate across
the region, while subsiding, with seas of 8 to 9 ft. Seas will 
subside to the 4-6 ft range this weekend.

REMAINDER OF THE AREA...

Light to gentle winds prevail from 10N to 20N west of 120W, with
gentle to moderate winds prevailing elsewhere. Seas are in the
5-7 ft range west of 120W. Cross equatorial long period SW swell
will continue to propagate into the southern waters, building 
seas to 8-10 ft mainly south of 10N and east of 125W today before
starting to subside Friday. Seas associated to this swell will
subside below 8 ft by Saturday.
