The following information is based on satellite imagery, weather observations, radar, and meteorological analysis. Based on 0600 UTC surface analysis and satellite imagery through 0715 UTC. ...TROPICAL WAVES... None. ...INTERTROPICAL CONVERGENCE ZONE/MONSOON TROUGH... The Monsoon Trough extends from 08N78W to 10N86W to 12N94W to 08N112W. The ITCZ axis extends from 08N112W to 07N119W to 08N125W to 03N140W. Scattered moderate convection is from 08N to 11N between 82W and 87W...from 06N to 12N between 91W and 101W...from 12N to 15N between 91W and 95W...and from 05N to 09N between 101W and 113W. Embedded within the Monsoon Trough in the vicinity of 12N95W is a 1010 mb low. Earlier scatterometer passes indicated a weak low-level circulation centered N of the stronger southwesterly monsoonal winds noted S of 10N between 92W and 98W. The low is expected to remain nearly stationary the next few days. ...DISCUSSION... OFFSHORE WATERS WITHIN 250 NM OF MEXICO... A northwest to southeast orientated ridge extends across the discussion waters W of the offshore zones...with the associated pressure gradient maintaining a moderate to locally fresh NW breeze W of the Baja Peninsula through Tuesday night. The exception is that locally strong NW winds are possible across the near shore waters generally N of 25N through Saturday night and again on Sun night. Another round of large NW swell in the form of 7 to 9 ft seas will arrive along 32N on Saturday evening and spread southward to 30N late Sunday night. The swell will reach as far south as 27N on Monday night then begin to subside from the S thereafter. Gulf of California: Gentle to moderate southerly flow is expected N of 30N through Saturday then a fresh to locally strong SW pulse is forecast from 29.5N to 31N on Saturday night through early Sunday night...with seas building to about 5 ft. Light and variable winds are expected S of 30N through Tuesday night. Gulf of Tehuantepec: Light to occasional moderate SE winds are expected to prevail through Tuesday night with the exception of light northerly drainage flow anticipated each late night into early morning. OFFSHORE WATERS WITHIN 250 NM OF CENTRAL AMERICA, COLOMBIA, AND WITHIN 750 NM OF ECUADOR... Gentle to moderate westerly winds and 4 to 6 ft seas are expected N of 07N...and moderate southerly winds with 5 to 7 ft seas forecast S of 07N through Tuesday night. REMAINDER OF THE AREA... A 1019 mb surface high is centered near 26N135W with a ridge extending SE to near 15N116W. Gentle to locally moderate anticyclonic flow is observed S of the ridge to along 10N. Bridging this ridge with another high centered well NW of the area...a weakening stationary front extends from 32N123W to 25N140W. Gentle to moderate northerly winds are noted NW of the front.
