The following information is based on satellite imagery, weather observations, radar, and meteorological analysis. Based on 0600 UTC surface analysis and satellite imagery through 0945 UTC. ...INTERTROPICAL CONVERGENCE ZONE/MONSOON TROUGH... A surface trough extends from 08N83W to 06N88W where scatterometer winds indicate that the northern ITCZ forms and continues through 05N95W to 07N103W to 03N132W. A southern ITCZ is analyzed from 03S104W to 03.4S116W. Scattered moderate isolated strong convection is noted within 120 nm either side of a line from 06N82W to 04N96W to 05N117W and also within 45 nm of 03S107W. ...DISCUSSION... OFFSHORE WATERS WITHIN 250 NM OF MEXICO... Strong to near gale force northwesterly winds are observed across the discussion waters n of 28.5N w of the Baja Peninsula, with 8 to 11 ft seas. Fresh to locally strong nw flow is expected elsewhere w of Baja today as well as strong surges off Cabo San Lucas. The pressure gradient will relax this evening, but quickly tighten again tonight. Expect strong nw winds to spread s to along 28N to the e of 125W on Thu with seas building to 9 to 15 ft with the highest seas near 32N120W Thu night The gradient should begin to relax late Fri night with winds 20 kt or less late Sat, and associated seas subsiding to less than 8 ft to the s of 30N on Sun night into Mon. Gulf of California: Gentle to moderate southwesterly flow will will clock to the nw today then become southerly again on Thu. Gulf of Tehuantepec: Gentle to moderate southerly flow expected this week. OFFSHORE WATERS WITHIN 250 NM OF CENTRAL AMERICA, COLOMBIA, AND WITHIN 750 NM OF ECUADOR... Mostly a gentle onshore breeze expected during the day becoming offshore along the coasts at night. Combined seas of 3 to 5 ft in mixed SW and NW swell forecast during the next several days.
