Based on 0600 UTC surface analysis and satellite imagery through 0945 UTC. ...INTERTROPICAL CONVERGENCE ZONE/MONSOON TROUGH... A surface trough extends from 06N85W to 06N98W where scatterometer winds indicate that the ITCZ forms and continues and continues w to beyond 04N140W. Scattered moderate isolated strong convection is noted in clusters within 90 nm of 02N78W and 05N81W, and within 75 nm either side of a line from 05N101W to 07N106W to 10N120W to 07N132W. ...DISCUSSION... OFFSHORE WATERS WITHIN 250 NM OF MEXICO... Strong to near gale force northwesterly winds are observed across the discussion waters n of 29.5N w of the Baja Peninsula, with 8 to 13 ft seas. Fresh to strong nw flow is expected elsewhere n of 25.5N today. The pressure gradient will relax some tonight through Wed before tightening again on Wed night. Expect strong nw winds to spread s to along 28N to the e of 125W on Thu with seas building to 10 to 15 ft by early Fri. The gradient should relax Fri night with associated seas subsiding to less than 8 ft on Sun. Gulf of California: Fresh to strong sw winds are expected through late morning with seas building to about 5 ft. Mostly gentle to moderate southerly flow elsewhere will clock to the nw on Wed. Gulf of Tehuantepec: Gentle to moderate southerly flow expected this week. OFFSHORE WATERS WITHIN 250 NM OF CENTRAL AMERICA, COLOMBIA, AND WITHIN 750 NM OF ECUADOR...
