OFFSHORE WATERS WITHIN 250 NM OF MEXICO... Moderate to fresh winds with seas in the 7-9 ft range prevail west of the Baja California peninsula. Fresh to strong winds with seas to 7 ft prevail over the southern Gulf of California, light to gentle winds with seas in the 1-2 ft range prevail over the northern Gulf of California. Moderate to fresh winds with seas in the 5-6 ft range prevails over the Gulf of Tehuantepec, while light to gentle winds with seas in the 4-6 ft prevail elsewhere. High pressure will remain west of the Baja California peninsula through the forecast period. This will maintain the fresh to strong winds off the coast of Baja California with seas in the 6-8 ft range. A fresh pulse of gap winds can be expected over the Gulf of Tehuantepec the next couple of nights before gap wind flow is limited. OFFSHORE WATERS WITHIN 250 NM OF CENTRAL AMERICA, COLOMBIA, AND WITHIN 750 NM OF ECUADOR... High pressure prevailing across the NW Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico will support fresh to strong gap winds across the Gulf of Papagayo through early Sunday with seas to 8 ft. Nocturnal winds will pulse to a fresh breeze thereafter. Elsewhere, light to gentle winds and combined seas of 3-5 ft are expected the next several days except in the Gulf of Panama, where they will pulse to a fresh breeze through the weekend. REMAINDER OF THE AREA... A cold front over the far northwest waters will usher in a fresh set of northwesterly swell into the area. Seas will peak near 11 ft on Saturday as the swell propagates southeastward the next couple of days. Another cold front will reach the far northwest waters Sun night. This front will dissipate by early Monday. This front will usher in a fresh set of northwesterly swells into the area early next week. In the tradewind belt, fresh to locally strong trades will prevail over the waters north of the equatorial trough through the forecast period with seas in the 8-10 ft range. $$ AL
