Expect gale-force southerly winds, and sea heights ranging from 8 feet to 9 feet, N of 29.5N between 75W AND 78W, for the next 12 hours. The monsoon trough passes through the coastal sections of Sierra Leone near 08N13W, to 06N16W and 05N20W. The ITCZ continues from 05N20W, curving to 04N26W, to 02N29W, and to 01N38W. A surface trough is along 01S37W to the Equator along 45W. Precipitation: scattered moderate to strong is from 01N to 04N between 03W and 07W, from 02N to 08N between 10W and 15W, from 02N to 05N between 42W and 46W, and from 01N to 03N between 47W and 50W. Widely scattered moderate to isolated strong is from 06N southward between 15W and 24W. Isolated moderate is elsewhere from 09N southward from 60W eastward. GULF OF MEXICO... The GFE model for 250 mb, and water vapor satellite imagery, show SW wind flow across the Gulf of Mexico. A cold front is passing through SE Louisiana, to 28N93W in the Gulf of Mexico. The cold front is dissipating, from 28N93W, to the NE coast of Mexico near 25N98W. Precipitation: numerous strong from 26N to 29N between 85W and 88W. Broken to overcast multilayered clouds and other widely scattered moderate to isolated strong are from 26N to 32N between 81W and 89W, including in the Gulf of Mexico, in Florida, in the SE half of Georgia, and in the SE corner of Alabama. A surface trough is inland, from northern Guatemala, through the Isthmus of Tehuantepec of southern Mexico, northwestward beyond 22N100W. Precipitation: warming cloud top temperatures and weakening but still lingering rainshowers are in the SW corner of the Gulf of Mexico from 23N southward from 93W westward. A developing low pres system over the southeastern U.S. will drag a cold front across the northern Gulf tonight through Fri. A second cold front will move into the NW Gulf Fri night, then eventually extend from S Florida to the SW Gulf Sun. High pres following in the wake of this front will shift from the southern plains Sun night to the western Atlc Wed. A developing low pressure system in the SE U.S.A. will drag a cold front across the northern Gulf of Mexico from tonight through Friday. A second cold front will move into the NW Gulf of Mexico on Friday night. The front will extend eventually from S Florida to the SW Gulf of Mexico on Sunday. High pressure, following in the wake of the second cold front, will shift from the southern plains of the U.S.A. on Sunday night to the western Atlantic Ocean on Wednesday. CARIBBEAN SEA... The GFE model for 250 mb, and water vapor satellite imagery, show that broad upper level anticyclonic wind flow spans the Caribbean Sea. Comparatively drier air is apparent in water vapor imagery across the entire Caribbean Sea. Rainshowers are possible, in broken low level clouds, from 16N southward from 70W eastward, and from 18N southward from 74W westward. A ridge across the western Atlantic Ocean will maintain fresh to strong trade winds in the S central Caribbean Sea through Tuesday night. Strong E to SE winds will pulse at night in the Gulf of Honduras through Sunday night. Moderate to fresh trade winds are expected elsewhere through Saturday. Smoke, from agricultural fires in Central America, may reduce the visibility in the Gulf of Honduras, for the next several days. ATLANTIC OCEAN... A cold front passes through 32N49W to 31N51W. The cold front is dissipating from 31N51W to 25N60W. A surface trough continues from 25N60W to 22N64W, and curving to NE Puerto Rico. Precipitation: rainshowers are possible from 20N northward between 50W and 70W, and from 17N in the Caribbean Sea to 23N in the Atlantic Ocean between 60W and 70W. Rainshowers are possible from 30N northward between 34W and 46W. A warm front is to the north of 32N between 70W and 80W. Precipitation: widely scattered moderate to isolated strong from 28N northward between from 70W westward. An upper level trough is along the coast of Morocco and the Western Sahara. Precipitation: rainshowers are possible from 24N northward from 20W eastward. A cold front will move off the SE U.S.A. coast, from Friday through Saturday morning. Strong to gale-force S to SW winds are expected in advance of this front N of the Bahamas, from tonight through Friday. Another cold front will move off the coast of northern Florida on Saturday night, and then extend from near Bermuda to S Florida on Sunday.
