DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK ------------------------------ At 800 AM PDT (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Ivette was located near latitude 15.1 North, longitude 130.8 West. Ivette is moving toward the west near 13 mph (20 km/h). A west-northwestward motion with a decrease in forward speed is expected to begin later today and continue through Sunday. Maximum sustained winds remain near 50 mph (85 km/h) with higher gusts. Some slight strengthening is possible during the next day or so. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 70 miles (110 km) from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1002 mb (29.59 inches).
