DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 800 AM PDT (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Ivo was located near latitude 21.9 North, longitude 116.1 West. Ivo is moving toward the west-northwest near 10 mph (17 km/h). A west-northwest to west motion at a similar speed is expected during the next couple of days. Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts. Weakening is forecast, and Ivo is expected to degenerate into a remnant low by early Monday. The remnant low is likely to dissipate on Tuesday. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 45 miles (75 km) from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1006 mb (29.71 inches).
