DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK ------------------------------ At 300 PM MDT (2100 UTC), the center of Hurricane Hilary was located near latitude 16.7 North, longitude 113.2 West. Hilary is moving toward the west near 13 mph (20 km/h) and a west or west-northwest motion with some decrease in forecast speed is expected for the next couple of days. Maximum sustained winds remain near 105 mph (165 km/h) with higher gusts. Some slow weakening is forecast during the next 48 hours. Hurricane-force winds extend outward up to 25 miles (35 km) from the center and tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 105 miles (165 km).
