DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 1000 AM CDT (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Eighteen-E was located near latitude 8.4 North, longitude 96.6 West. The depression is moving toward the west near 14 mph (22 km/h) and this motion is expected to continue with a gradual increase in forward speed over the next few days. Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. Little change in strength is forecast during the next day or so, followed by slight strengthening by early next week. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1007 mb (29.74 inches).
