DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 1000 AM CDT (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Eighteen-E was located near latitude 9.4 North, longitude 92.4 West. The depression is moving toward the west near 9 mph (15 km/h) and this general motion is expected to continue with a gradual acceleration over the next couple of days. Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. Little change in strength is forecast during the next day or so, followed by very gradual strengthening. The depression could become a tropical storm this weekend. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1007 mb (29.74 inches).
