DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 900 PM MDT (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Blas was located near latitude 19.1 North, longitude 112.9 West. Blas is moving toward the west near 5 mph (7 km/h), and this general motion is forecast until dissipation in a couple of days. Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts. Blas should decay into a tropical depression overnight and a remnant area of low pressure on Monday. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 70 miles (110 km) from the center.
