DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 400 AM CDT (0900 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Two-E was located near latitude 13.6 North, longitude 102.4 West. The depression is drifting toward the north-northwest near 3 mph (6 km/h) and this motion is expected to continue for another day or so. After that time, a turn to the west-northwest with a gradual increase in forward speed is forecast. Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. Strengthening is forecast during the next couple of days, and the depression is expected to become a tropical storm later today. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1005 mb (29.68 inches). HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND ---------------------- SURF: Swells generated by the depression are expected to reach the coast of southwestern Mexico in a day or so.
