DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 500 AM HST (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Linda was located near latitude 19.9 North, longitude 137.6 West. Linda is moving toward the west near 16 mph (26 km/h), and this general motion is expected to continue through the weekend. Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 70 mph (110 km/h) with higher gusts. Additional weakening is forecast, and Linda is expected to become a gale-force post-tropical cyclone by Saturday night.
