DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 900 PM MDT (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Blanca was located near latitude 14.9 North, longitude 111.6 West. Blanca is moving toward the west-northwest near 7 mph (11 km/h). A slower motion toward the west-northwest is expected through Thursday, followed by a slow motion toward the west into the weekend. Maximum sustained winds are near 50 mph (85 km/h) with higher gusts. Some weakening is forecast during the next 48 hours, and Blanca could become a tropical depression by Thursday.
