DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 500 AM HST (1500 UTC), the center of Post-Tropical Cyclone Barbara was located near latitude 18.7 North, longitude 139.2 West. The post-tropical cyclone is moving toward the west near 17 mph (28 km/h), and this motion is expected to continue during the next couple of days. Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts. The system is forecast to dissipate in a few days. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 115 miles (185 km) from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1000 mb (29.53 inches).
