DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK ------------------------------ At 900 AM MDT (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Norma was located near latitude 21.6 North, longitude 114.5 West. The depression is moving toward the west near 5 mph (7 km/h). A turn to the west-northwest is expected to occur by tonight. Maximum sustained winds remain near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. Weakening is forecast, and Norma is expected to degenerate into a remnant low on Wednesday. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1006 mb (29.71 inches).
