DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 900 AM MDT (1500 UTC), the remnants of Ileana were located near latitude 20.5 North, longitude 109.0 West. The remnants are moving toward the west near 25 mph (41 km/h). The remnants should turn west-southwestward and be absorbed within the outer bands of Hurricane John later today. Maximum sustained winds are near 45 mph (75 km/h) with higher gusts. Weakening is forecast until the remnants are absorbed within the circulation of John. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 45 miles (75 km) from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1004 mb (29.65 inches).
