DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK ------------------------------ At 500 PM AST (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Lisa was located near latitude 18.5 North, longitude 32.5 West. Lisa is moving toward the northwest near 7 mph (11 km/h), and this general motion is expected to continue for the next couple of days with a gradual increase in forward speed. Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 45 mph (75 km/h) with higher gusts. Little change in intensity is expected tonight or Thursday, but slow weakening is expected to begin Thursday night. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 125 miles (205 km) from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1004 mb (29.65 inches).
