Individual waves may be more than twice the significant wave height. PMZ101-251430- Synopsis for the E Pacific within 250 nm of Central America, Colombia, and within 750 nm of Ecuador 730 PM PDT Fri May 24 2019 .SYNOPSIS...A Central American Gyre will bring abundant moisture and heavy rainfall across portions of Central America and the adjacent offshore waters during the next few days. Southwesterly winds will prevail across much of the region and strengthen early next week as the monsoon trough lifts northward. Seas will build to 8-12 ft by mid week as SW swell mixes with wind waves generated by strengthening monsoon flow. Some gradual tropical development of a low pressure trough extending from Nicaragua westward to the far eastern Pacific is possible over the next few days if the disturbance remains offshore. $$ PMZ111-251430- Guatemala and El Salvador to 250 nm offshore- 730 PM PDT Fri May 24 2019 .TONIGHT...SW winds 10 kt, shifting to SE to S in the late evening and early morning, then, shifting to SW to W early.
