552 FZPN28 KNHC 232159 OFFPZ8 Offshore Waters Forecast NWS National Hurricane Center Miami, FL 259 PM PDT Thu May 23 2019 Offshore Waters Forecast for the E Pacific within 250 nm of Central America, Colombia, and within 750 nm of Ecuador Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be more than twice the significant wave height. PMZ101-241000- Synopsis for the E Pacific within 250 nm of Central America, Colombia, and within 750 nm of Ecuador 259 PM PDT Thu May 23 2019 .SYNOPSIS...Showers and thunderstorms associated with a broad area of low pressure over Central America have become less organized since yesterday. Any development of this system during the next few days should be slow to occur while the large circulation interacts with land. Regardless of development, locally heavy rains are likely to continue over portions of Central America as this system remains nearly stationary through the weekend. These rains could cause flash flooding and mudslides in areas of mountainous terrain. Early next week, winds south of the monsoon trough may strengthen as the monsoon circulation interacts with the broad low pressure system. $$ PMZ111-241000- Guatemala and El Salvador to 250 nm offshore- 259 PM PDT Thu May 23 2019 .TONIGHT...W winds 10 kt.
