Offshore Waters Forecast for the Tropical N Atlantic from 07N to
22N between 55W and 64W, the SW N Atlantic S of 31N W of 65W
including Bahamas, and the Caribbean Sea.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

19N between 55W and 64W

.SYNOPSIS...A broad area of low pressure, AL97, continues to 
produce a large area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms 
across the western Caribbean Sea and over portions of Central 
America. Further development of this system appears unlikely 
before it moves inland over Central America later today. 
Regardless of development, this system is expected to bring heavy 
rains to portions of Central America this weekend. This rainfall 
could produce flash flooding, along with mudslides in areas of 
higher terrain. A stationary front extending from the western tip
of Cuba southwestward to Cozumel will weaken today. Fresh to 
strong northeast winds and rough seas associated with the front 
and its remnants will prevail in the northwestern Caribbean 
through this afternoon.
