Offshore Waters Forecast for the Tropical N Atlantic from 07N to
22N between 55W and 64W, the SW N Atlantic S of 31N W of 65W
including Bahamas, and the Caribbean Sea.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

.SYNOPSIS...A strong tropical wave over the central Caribbean
is producing widespread thunderstorms and gusty winds as it 
moves W at 15 to 20 kt. This wave and associated surface low 
pressure should slow down and turn W-NW in the western Caribbean
at the end of the week, and a tropical depression is likely to 
form by the weekend in the NW Caribbean. There is a medium chance
of tropical formation through Fri morning, then a high chance 
through the end of the weekend. Looking ahead, low pressure 
associated with another tropical wave is expected to move across 
the Tropical N Atlc waters late Thu and approach the Atlantic 
waters off the Leeward Islands late Fri. This system also has a 
high potential for tropical development.

.SYNOPSIS...An elongated area of low pressure remains across the
central Tropical Atlantic, associated with a tropical wave. 
Environmental conditions are favorable for tropical development 
and a tropical depression is expected to form in the next day or 
so as the low pressure moves WNW at 15 to 20 mph. This system is
forecast to approach the Leeward Islands early Fri, move across 
or just north of the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico Sat, and then
along northern Hispaniola and the Turks and Caicos Islands Sat
