Offshore Waters Forecast for the Tropical N Atlantic from 07N to
22N between 55W and 64W, the SW N Atlantic S of 31N W of 65W
including Bahamas, and the Caribbean Sea.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

.SYNOPSIS...As high pressure over the W Atlantic weakens and 
moves SE, winds and seas in the Caribbean will remain fairly 
tranquil through the rest of the week. A cold front will pass 
through the Yucatan Channel by this evening, then stall along 20N
Thu and dissipate by Fri. Winds will freshen through the Windward
Passage and in the lee of Cuba Fri night through the weekend.

Synopsis for the SW N Atlantic including the Bahamas
1020 AM EDT Wed Apr 1 2020

.SYNOPSIS...A strong cold front extends from near 31N73W across
the NW Bahamas to the Straits of Florida. Intensifying low pressure
off the Mid-Atlantic coast will pull this front across the waters
today through Thu night. Gale force SW winds and very large seas 
will prevail ahead of the front N of 27N through this evening, 
followed by W to NW gales tonight across the far northern waters 
behind the front. Gale force winds may develop over the far NE 
portion Fri into early Sat as the associated low pressure system 
dives SE and passes just north of the forecast waters. Northerly 
swell will produce large seas across the SW N Atlantic waters 
through the weekend.
