.SYNOPSIS...Recently formed Tropical Storm Francine is near
23.0N 94.9W at 11 AM EDT, and is moving north-northwest at 4 kt.
Maximum sustained winds are 45 kt with gusts to 55 kt, and the
minimum central pressure is 1002 mb. Francine will move to near
24.0N 95.4W this evening, to near 24.9N 95.7W Tue morning with
maximum sustained winds 55 kt gusts 65 kt, then strengthen to a
hurricane near 26.3N 95.0W Tue evening with maximum sustained
winds 65 kt gusts 80 kt, move to near 28.0N 93.5W Wed morning,
with maximum sustained winds 75 kt gusts 90 kt, to near 29.7N
92.2W Wed evening, then move inland and weaken to a tropical
storm near 32.4N 90.7W Thu morning. Francine will weaken as a
post- tropical cyclone well inland early on Fri. In addition,
associated rough to very rough seas will persist off the coast
of Veracruz and Tamaulipas through this early this evening.
Looking ahead, winds and seas will diminish across the Gulf Thu
and Fri.
