Marine Weather HF Voice Broadcast for the Gulf of Mexico

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

.SYNOPSIS...A stationary front extends across northern Florida
and the northern Gulf to a 1005 mb low pressure near 27N94W then
SW to Veracruz, Mexico. This system continue to support heavy
showers and thunderstorms across the western half of the Gulf
and portions of the NE offshore waters. A gale warning is in
effect for the NW and SW Gulf with frequent gusts for the
east-central Mexican offshore waters through Mon, except ending
Sun in the NW Gulf. Very large seas will build across these
areas through early next week. A tropical wave and associated
low are moving over the Bay of Campeche. The low associated with
the wave is forecast to drift slowly northward for a couple of
days while it interacts with the frontal boundary, and has a
high chance for tropical cyclone formation during the early or
middle part of next week while the system moves generally
northward near or along the Mexican and Texas Gulf coastline.
Mainly gentle to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas will
prevail SE of the features.
