A reinforcing cold front is expected to move into the NW Gulf tomorrow afternoon, reach from the Florida panhandle to the SW Gulf by Sat afternoon, and become stationary from the Big Bend of Florida to the central Gulf and to the SW Gulf late Sun into Mon. The front will be followed by fresh to strong NE winds, except for possible strong to near gale N to NW winds offshore Veracruz Sat through Mon night. Looking ahead, a tropical wave currently located over the W Caribbean Sea may show some development late in the weekend into early next week after the system emerges over the SW Gulf of Mexico.
