Marine Weather HF Voice Broadcast for the Gulf of Mexico

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

.SYNOPSIS...Tropical Depression Four is near 21.4N 79.7W at
11 PM EDT, and is moving west-northwest at 15 kt. Maximum
sustained winds are 25 kt with gusts to 35 kt, and the minimum
central pressure is 1010 mb. Tropical Depression Four will move
inland to 22.6N 81.4W Sat morning, strengthen to a tropical
storm near 24.6N 83.3W Sat evening with maximum sustained winds
35 kt gusts 45 kt, then gradually strengthen as it moves to near
26.6N 84.1W Sun morning, to near 28.4N 84.0W Sun evening with
maximum sustained winds 55 kt gusts 65 kt and inland to near
29.9N 83.4W Mon morning. It will continue inland to near 30.8N
82.5W Mon evening and to well northeast of the region through
midweek. Otherwise, a weak ridge will remain in place over the N
Gulf waters into Sat morning allowing for gentle to moderate
winds for most of the Gulf of Mexico. Fresh NE winds are
expected near and to the northwest of the Yucatan Peninsula
tonight due to local effects.
