000 FZNT32 KNHC 300322 OFFN21 Marine Weather HF Voice Broadcast NWS National Hurricane Center Miami, FL 1122 PM EDT Mon Apr 29 2024 Marine Weather HF Voice Broadcast for the Gulf of Mexico Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be more than twice the significant wave height. Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...A line of showers and isolated thunderstorms is spreading eastward across the NW and north-central Gulf. Mariners can expect stronger winds and higher seas near the strong thunderstorms. A 1023 mb high pressure between Bermuda and the Bahamas support moderate to fresh SE winds over much of the Gulf, except for strong winds off northern and western Yucatan. The ridge will weaken over the next couple of days, resulting in diminishing winds and seas across the basin. Winds and seas will increase late this week in the western half of the Gulf, pulsing to strong speeds at night near the Yucatan Peninsula and south-central Gulf into the weekend.
