Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...High pressure across the NE Gulf will shift
northeastward through Fri, allowing southerly winds to increase
across the western Gulf. A weak cold front will move into the NW
Gulf Sat and then stall Sat night then lift inland Sun. A strong
cold front will move into the NW Gulf Sun night, and reach from
the Florida Panhandle to southern Mexico Mon morning. Strong
northerly winds are expected behind the front with possible
gale- force winds along the western Gulf coast near the Veracruz
area on Mon.
