more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...High pressure continue to build across the basin in
the wake of a cold front that currently extends across the
western Atlantic and west Caribbean. Moderate to fresh northerly
winds over the eastern half of the basin will gradually diminish
tonight. Surface ridging will prevail through Thu with light to
gentle variable winds. Moderate to fresh return flow will
establish over the western half of the basin Thu night ahead of
the next cold front forecast to enter the NW Gulf Fri.

.TODAY...N winds 10 to 15 kt, diminishing to less than 10 kt in
the afternoon. Seas 3 to 5 ft. 
.TONIGHT...NW winds less than 10 kt. Seas 3 ft in the evening,
subsiding to 2 ft or less. 
.WED...Variable winds less than 10 kt, becoming W less than
10 kt in the afternoon. Seas 2 ft or less.
