Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Tropical Depression Eta near 17.3N 86.5W 1002 mb at
4 PM EST moving NE at 6 kt. Maximum sustained winds 30 kt gusts
40 kt. Eta will strengthen to a tropical storm near 18.2N 84.8W
Sat morning, move to 19.4N 82.5W Sat afternoon, 20.8N 80.7W Sun
morning, inland to 22.5N 80.0W Sun afternoon, 24.2N 80.6W Mon
morning, and 24.9N 81.8W Mon afternoon. Eta will change little
in intensity as it moves to near 25.0N 84.0W Tue afternoon.
Tropical storm conditions are possible in the SE Gulf, including
the Straits of Florida, Sun through Tue, spreading northward
across the eastern Gulf Mon through Tue night.
